We need volunteers to make this project a success. Please see below for the types of people we need.
Translators - We need people who can help us translate from English to Japanese or Japanese to English for the subtitles for the films nominated for the Ishinomaki Rolling Stone Film Festival. You can do this work from your own computer.
Support would be needed during the first 2 weeks of July.
Bilingual Video Editors - We need bilingual video editors who can subtitle films nominated for the Ishinomaki Rolling Stone Film Festival. You can do this work from your own computer. You will need video editing software (FCPX, Adobe Premiere or Davinci Resolve are preferred) and a fast Internet connection to download the films.
Support would be needed in the first 2 weeks of July.
Classroom Assistants - We need people who have some video production and computer knowledge who can help out in the classroom, working one on one with students who need help, manage the equipment and other related work.
Support needed on any days during the course. 7/1-2, 7/8-9, 7/15-16, 7/22-28
Awards Ceremony Assistants - We need people who can help us prepare the hall for the awards ceremony at Prena Hall in Ishinomaki on July 29th from 9 AM to 7 PM. Work involves setting up and breaking down chairs, dressing the stage and hall, welcoming guests, checking tickets, collecting and counting votes for the award for the best film made in the documentary filmmaking course and cleaning up after the event.
Support needed on July 29th from 9AM to 7PM or some part of that.
